Vigna
Vigna collection is represented by 117 accessions, of which are included the following species: 1 landrace of V. mungo, 5 landraces of V. radiata, 1 landrace of V. sinensis, 15 landraces of V. subterranea, and 95 landraces of V. unguiculata. The resource provides a broad base for future for future Vigna improvement and is an essential tool for breeders in their quest for higher yield, greater disease resistance and better adaptation to the farming systems.
